TELL ME MORE ABOUT TRAVEL VOLLEYBALL…

The Academy Travel program is the place to be if you are looking for a high level of competition and a more dedicated commitment to a team dynamic. There is a tryout process in November, and each team will have 10-12 athletes. There will be travel teams for GIRLS grades 4th-6th. (12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2014)
The Travel season will run from December to May, and the team will attend tournaments in NY, PA, and OH throughout the year. There are typically 1-2 tournaments per month. The Travel teams will practice for 1.5 hours, twice per week.

Tryout/Evaluation days are FUN days in the gym where our athletes will be learning new skills, executing drills, and getting a chance at game play. Coaches will take this time to evaluate players for team selection. Current skill level will be evaluated, as well as effort and coachability.

The week after tryouts, all athletes will be notified if they make a team. The girls teams will not be split into Tiger Sharks and Hammerhead Sharks until additional December practices take place. Leopard Sharks team will be determined after tryouts. Any player that does not make the travel roster will have the opportunity to register for a House team prior to the registration going live to the general public.

Team fees are listed below. If you are selected to be a member of a travel team, the first payment of 50% will be due with team acceptance in November. Additional 25% payments will be due by January 1st and February 1st 2025. Families will be invoiced from Sports Engine.
GIRLS TEAMS:
12 Tiger Sharks - $1800
12 Hammerhead Sharks - $1600
12 Leopard Sharks - $1150

Team fees cover the following: practice court time, uniforms, tournament entry, coach expenses, training equipment, administrative fees. Expenses that are not covered include: Spandex, Player/family travel expenses, yearly registration fee, WEVA registration fee.

12 Tiger Sharks and Hammerhead Sharks players will receive two jerseys, warmup long sleeve, and practice t-shirt. Leopard Sharks team receives one jersey, warmup long sleeve and practice shirt. All athletes are required to purchase a navy blue pair of spandex or leggings (you decide on the brand, length, cut, ect.).
Team stores will be open throughout the season to purchase additional swag!
